Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of r-statistics.co (the "Site") and its associated services (the "Service"), operated by Selva Prabhakaran ("we", "us", "our") as a sole proprietorship registered in India. By accessing the Site or creating an account, you ("you", "your") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Accounts
You may need an account to access certain features (Pro subscriptions, exercise grading, saved posts, certifications). You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at selva86@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Free and paid plans
The Service offers a Free tier and several paid Pro plans (Pro Monthly, Pro Annual, Lifetime, Teams). Plan features and prices are listed at https://r-statistics.co/pricing.html. We may add, remove, or change features over time; material reductions to paid plans will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
4. Trial, billing, and renewals
- Paid plans begin with a 7-day free trial. Your payment method is held but not charged during the trial.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged for the plan you selected.
- Monthly plans renew automatically each month. Annual plans renew automatically each year (with a 14-day warning email).
- You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Payments are processed by Paddle (international customers) and Razorpay (Indian customers).
5. Refunds
All paid plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of first charge. See the Refund Policy for full terms and how to request a refund.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically download content beyond ordinary use of the Service.
- Share your account credentials or allow multiple people to use a single Pro account (Teams plan exists for groups).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code of the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or other malicious content.
- Submit illegal, infringing, harassing, or hateful content to community features (comments, public profile, etc.).
- Use automated systems to create accounts, evade rate limits, or exploit free trials.
- Use the Service in violation of applicable law (Indian or local).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. In serious cases (chargebacks without prior contact, repeated trial abuse, illegal content) we may block future signups from your email, payment method, or device.
7. Content and intellectual property
All tutorial content, code examples, interactive tools, and certifications on r-statistics.co are the intellectual property of Selva Prabhakaran or are used under license. Free-tier content is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0; you may share and adapt it for non-commercial purposes with attribution. Pro-tier content (downloadable PDFs, paywalled courses, certification materials) is licensed for personal use only and may not be redistributed.
Code snippets shown in tutorials are public domain unless otherwise noted; you can use them in your own work without attribution.
8. User-generated content
You retain ownership of content you submit (comments, code submissions, public profile data). By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the Service. You represent that your content does not infringe third-party rights.
9. Certifications
Certifications earned through r-statistics.co are issued by Selva Prabhakaran as a sole proprietorship. They are recognised as a learning achievement; they are not accredited credentials issued by an academic institution or regulatory body. We may revoke certifications in cases of fraud (e.g. proven cheating on the assessment). Verification URLs remain permanently accessible (showing "Revoked" status if applicable).
10. Service availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantee. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance or due to issues with our hosting providers (Cloudflare, Supabase, etc.). We are not liable for losses resulting from temporary unavailability.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50 if you have not paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or content you submit.
14. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from your account page. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete account data after a reasonable retention period (see the Privacy Policy).
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Before initiating a legal claim, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute by emailing selva86@gmail.com; we will respond within 14 days.
